Composition
Fazawood is a durable wooden cladding composed of Australian Eucalyptus hardwood (97%) derived from sawmills and prunings. The wood is steamed under pressure in a sealed boiler and shredded into long hardwood fibers. After this, the released sugars are neutralized. When pressing under high pressure and temperature, resin is released which, together with the added 3% natural wax, ensures the adhesion of the mutual fibers.
No chemical additives, artificial adhesives, resins, formaldehyde or silica are used. Fazawood is finished with Rubio Monocoat, an oil that provides an intense color.
